the latest ap poll says mitt romney is better positioned to do that. again, whoever wins the white house will have a tough task ahead of them. >> it is. i don't think we'll get rid of the bitterness, but that doesn't mean we won't get something done. the stakes are high with the fiscal cliff, the tax side, the revenue side, a whole lot of things. so this is going to be a moment for statesmanship and i think in a way, while i think the president will win in the end, it will be close, and as was mentioned by mr. o'connell, the transition happened when romney went from more an extreme conservativist position to the middle. i think it's something members in congress should take note of, americans will award those coming to the middle in trying solve a problem. i believe the president will win, and i believe the senate will remain in the democratic hands and the house the republican, and as people come together, i think it should be a recognition that they want folks to come together and solve these problems. i think the president has tried to make his case
